Summary

Jaeyoon Kim, Partner Patent Attorney at our firm, will be a speaker at the global patent webinar series “Global Patent Perspectives: Methods of Medical Treatment & Diagnosis,” to be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

Greetings from PI IP Law.

We are pleased to announce that Jaeyoon Kim, Partner Patent Attorney at our firm, will be a speaker at the global patent webinar series “Global Patent Perspectives: Methods of Medical Treatment & Diagnosis,” to be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

Inventions directed to methods of medical treatment and diagnosis need careful strategy when building an international patent portfolio. Each country has its own rules on permissible claim formats, patent eligibility, and how infringement is established.

This webinar brings together patent professionals from seven major jurisdictions (Korea, the United States, Europe (EPO), China, Japan, India, and Australia) to compare practice in each country and the strategies for dealing with those differences. Drawing on the latest practice trends at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and Korean courts, Partner Kim will share strategies for securing rights and handling disputes over

treatment and diagnosis inventions in Korea.

We warmly invite in-house patent and IP professionals who manage international IP portfolios to join us.
